1. What this policy covers
This policy explains what you may and may not do with the digital products you buy from EduShine Digital Store, and how downloads and updates work. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions.
Where an individual product page states different licence terms, the terms on that product page apply to that product.
2. Your licence
When you buy a product you are buying a licence to use it, not the copyright in it. Copyright and all other intellectual property rights stay with us or our licensors.
CHOOSE THE LICENCE THAT MATCHES WHAT YOU WANT TO ALLOW, DELETE THE OTHERS, AND SAY SO CLEARLY ON YOUR PRODUCT PAGES TOO.
Personal, non-commercial licence
You may use the product for your own personal purposes: read it, print a copy for yourself, and use it on the devices you own. You may not use it to produce work you sell, or use it inside a business.
Single-user licence, commercial use permitted
The licence is for one person. You may use the product in your own work, including work you are paid for — for example using a template to produce a document for a client — provided the product itself is not what you are selling or handing over as a standalone file. You may not share the source files with anyone outside your business.
Team licence
The licence covers up to NUMBER people within one organisation. Each person may use the product for work purposes. It does not permit distribution outside the organisation, or use by a parent, subsidiary or client company. STATE HOW ADDITIONAL SEATS ARE BOUGHT.
3. What you may do
- Download the files and keep your own backup copies.
- Use the product on the devices you personally use.
- Print a copy for your own use, where the format allows it. CONFIRM WHETHER PRINTING IS ALLOWED — for printables it is the whole point; for ebooks you may want to limit it.
- Adapt a template for your own project — change the colours, text and structure to suit your work.
- Quote a short extract with credit, as permitted by copyright law.
4. What you may not do
Unless we have agreed in writing, you may not:
- resell, sublicense, rent or give away the product or any part of it;
- upload it to a file-sharing site, course platform, group drive, Telegram or Discord channel, or any other place where people who have not bought it can get it;
- share your download link publicly;
- claim the material as your own work, or remove copyright notices, credits or branding from the files;
- use the content to create a substantially similar product that competes with ours;
- use the content to train a machine-learning model or to build a dataset. DELETE THIS LINE IF YOU DO NOT WANT THIS RESTRICTION.
If a licence is breached, it ends automatically, and you must stop using the product and delete your copies. Nothing here limits any legal remedy we may have.
A note on realism: a licence sets expectations and gives you a basis to act, but it does not by itself stop copying. Practical protection comes from per-order download links, sensible pricing, and being the person who keeps the product updated. See section 7.
5. Downloads, formats and re-downloads
- Products are delivered by download immediately after payment. Nothing is shipped.
- The file formats supplied are listed on each product page. Please check that you can open them before you buy — for example that you have software that opens .xlsx / .docx / .pdf.
- STATE HOW LONG A DOWNLOAD LINK STAYS VALID.
- STATE WHETHER YOU RE-SEND LINKS. Recommended: yes, on request, with an order reference — it prevents a lot of chargebacks.
- Keep your own backup. We are not able to guarantee indefinite access to a download link.
6. Updates and versions
We may revise a product — correcting errors, refreshing examples or adding material.
STATE WHETHER PAST BUYERS GET UPDATES FREE, AND HOW THEY ARE NOTIFIED. If you do offer free updates, say for how long: “free updates to this edition” is a very different promise from “free updates forever”.
A product may be withdrawn from sale at any time. If you have already bought it, you keep the copy you downloaded and your licence continues.
7. Download security
Download links should be treated as private. Anyone you send a link to can download the file, whether or not they have paid.
DESCRIBE HOW YOU DELIVER FILES — for example unique per-order links from your payment or delivery provider, or expiring links. If you notice that a link of yours has been shared publicly, please tell us at YOUR_SUPPORT_EMAIL.
8. Support
We help with anything to do with getting your product and opening it: broken downloads, wrong or corrupt files, missing links, and questions about what a product includes.
We do not provide personalised tuition, consulting or advice on your specific situation as part of a product purchase, unless the product page says otherwise.
Email YOUR_SUPPORT_EMAIL with your order reference. We aim to reply within RESPONSE TIME — e.g. 2 working days.
9. Educational purpose
Our products are educational and informational resources. Results depend on your own circumstances, knowledge, effort and application, and we do not guarantee any particular professional, financial, employment, business or income outcome.
Financial and business materials are general educational resources, not personalised financial, investment, tax, legal or accounting advice.
10. Questions
If you want to do something this policy does not clearly allow — use a template in a course you teach, include a worksheet in a client deliverable, buy a licence for your team — just ask. Email YOUR_SUPPORT_EMAIL and we will tell you whether it is fine or what licence you would need.
